Bishop & First Lady Jackson
Bishop and First Lady Jackson In 1996, God gave Bishop Michael Jackson a vision to establish a church in Ruckersville, Virginia. He was commissioned to save souls and build leaders, and so it was that on April 7, 1996 the doors on Emmanuel Christian Center were opened.

Bishop Michael Van Jackson, Sr. was born into a God-fearing family, so from a very early age he was taught to love and honor God and the things of God. While attending Madison County High School in Madison, Virginia he met Annette Louise Tinsley, and eventually the high school sweethearts were married. In 1970 after the birth of their one and only child, Michael Van Jackson, Jr., the family moved to Washington, D.C.

In 1979 both Bishop and Evangelist Jackson were saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. The couple then became active and faithful members of the Northeast Holy Trinity Church in Washington, D.C., which was founded and pastured by his uncle, the late Bishop Kent T. Holmes. They served the ministry for many years in numerous capacities. In 1987 he was ordained and appointed as the Youth Pastor of the Northeast Holy Trinity Church. She too opened her heart and home to the youth of the church. In 1994 Evangelist Jackson received her Missionary's License from the Northeast HTC.

Pastor Jackson was consecrated and duly appointed as Bishop on July 12, 2003.

Bishop Jackson and the First LadyBishop Jackson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and Ministry and a Master's Degree in Ministry. He is currently working on his dissertation for completion of a doctorate degree from Life Christian University. Bishop Jackson's ministry emphasis includes prison ministry and missions.

Evangelist Jackson attended Jericho Bible College. Her ministry includes outreach to both young and aged women. "Women of Praise" is the name of her women's fellowship.

Together, the dynamic-duo, Bishop and First Lady Jackson are saving souls and building leaders as commissioned by God.
